In the race for the state senate seat in Arizona’s District 1,  Ken Bennett was victorious over Mike Fogel. 

While Republicans in the state and across the nation did not seem to ride the “red wave” as many had predicted, Bennett said District 1 differs greatly from other districts in the state that leaned towards Democrat canidates:
